Las Vegas Nevada is the first US state to legalize online gaming since the United States Department of Justice passed that responsibility onto the individual states. The first wave of Internet gaming licenses should be issued within the next 30 days, as the Nevada Gaming Control Board has already been accepting applications. At least one online gaming entity is getting prepared to cash in as soon as the Silverton Casino Hotel purchases an Internet gaming license.

Cantor Gaming has agreed to a partnership with Silverton to offer race and sports betting as well as online gaming to their customers’ mobile devices while they are staying at the resort. The partnership is a long-term deal in which Cantor Gaming will build and run a race and sports book inside the Silverton Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, and included will be a mobile gaming platform. Companies are positioning themselves now ahead of licensing in states like Nevada and California, and the potential market for online gaming revenue in the United States is agreed to be in the billions of dollars.

Spokesmen from Cantor and Silverton said the race and sports book is due to the completed by the end of this September, and the mobile platform will allow online gaming and wagering opportunities for any of the casinos guests as long as they are on the resort property. The president and CEO of Cantor Gaming, Lee M. Amaitis, expressed excitement in announcing the strategic partnership, and stated that his company is looking forward to being part of a premier race and sports book, while also adding state-of-the-art mobile gaming technology.

Silverton Casino Hotel president Craig Cavileer was equally as expressive, commenting on the pride that his resort takes in offering a top quality gaming experience. He went on to state that this new online gaming technology would give his customers a much broader selection of entertainment and wagering options, and the online gaming experience would deliver an enhanced gaming interaction not offered currently by Silverton competitors. This announcement came only days after Cantor Gaming applied for their own Nevada online gaming license, but the Nevada Gaming Commission has yet to announce what companies will or will not receive one of the initial Internet gaming licenses in that state.

Strengthening their position as a leader in this brave new world of online gaming in the United States, Cantor Gaming also announced a recent partnership with California’s Cachil DeHe Band of Wintun Indians to provide its Colusa Casino Resort with a mobile gaming platform. The deal is very similar to the Nevada deal with Silverton, and allows Cantor to provide online gaming casino style games and poker on a proprietary mobile platform which can be accessed by Colusa’s customers while they are present at the resort. By signing deals in both Nevada and California, two hotbeds of online gaming and online poker playing in the United States, Cantor Gaming is laying the groundwork for potential online gaming profits in the US, while also solidifying their place as a leader in the US online gaming community.
